A&M-Texarkana to hold orientation for freshmen
Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host a Student Orientation, Advising and Registration session for new freshmen today and Friday, on the school campus, at 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
Check-in will be 1 p.m. today at Bringle Lake Village, the on-campus residence hall.
Orientation is designed to encourage student engagement and to familiarize new students with the campus community. Members of the A&M-Texarkana O-Team (Orientation Team) and the Office of Student Life will lead activities throughout SOAR.
The session also includes information on the first-year experience, a campus tour, a freshmen meet-up, team-building activities and a values and honor code session.
“SOAR is a really exciting time on our campus. It’s our chance to welcome new students to our ever-growing Eagle family,” Michael Stephenson, Student Life coordinator at A&M-Texarkana, stated in a press release. “We provide resources for a seamless transition to campus for students and parents by exploring university services, meeting academic leaders, registering for classes and participating in group activities.”
Registration is open for upcoming SOAR sessions June 22-23 and July 20-21. Fall classes begin Aug. 28.
