Expanded high school on track for 2017-18

BOSSIER CITY, La.—A crowded high school in Louisiana is expanding to hold about 2,000 students.

The Shreveport Times reports renovation at Airline High School should be finished in August. It is the largest high school in Bossier Parish, in the northweste­rn corner of the state.

Demolition crews are knocking down the last two-story classroom wing. It’s the final step in a project that included constructi­on of two new three-story classroom wings.

The renovation budget is about $23.4 million.
