Shirley Kaye Greenroad Kyle, 72, of Ashdown, AR passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Kyle was born April 19, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a 1963 graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. She graduated Executive Secretaria­l College, was a former real estate agent, and worked with EMT Services. Shirley was a longtime member of T.O.P.S. where she made a number of lasting friendship­s. She has been a steadfast caregiver to many through the years, along with being a dedicated homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother. Her favorite people (her grandchild­ren) called her Nana, except the youngest and he chose to call her GiGi.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Stafford and Marteal Alice “Marty” Greenroad, and two brothers, Terry Scott Greenroad and Melvin Autrey Greenroad (Doris).

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Jimmie D Kyle, two daughters and sonsin-law, Michelle and Wayne Hughes of McKenzie, AL, Angel and Matt Holland of Fayettevil­le, AR, one son Jimmie DeRan “Bubba” Kyle, Jr. of Ashdown, AR, six grandchild­ren, Scotty Bush, Dakotah Holland, Josie Holland, Caleb Kyle, Rainy Kyle and Waylan Kyle, one brother, Ronald Joe Greenroad (Candy), first cousin Paula June Cartwright, sister-in-law Mary Jo Gamez (Paul), brothersin­Lynn Franklin (Chris), Bruce Franklin (Neri) and a number of other relatives and family friends.

A celebratio­n of life will be 1:00 pm Friday, July 14, 2017 at Madden Funeral Home, Ashdown, AR. A gathering of family and friends will be 6 – 8 pm at Madden Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Burial will follow at Plain Dealing Cemetery in Plain Dealing, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriner Hospital for Children.
