Polly Perry Marsh Brabham passed away on July 27,2017 in Texarkana, TX.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 6th at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Longview, TX with private burial to follow.

Mrs. Brabham was born in Birmingham, AL May 10, 1931 to Fred and Mary Lyman Perry. She was the third of four daughters. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband of 19 years, Oscar Lee Marsh; husband of 28 years, M. Herbert Brabham; grandson Robert Brabham, and sisters Mary Alice Brown, Nancy Abernathy, and Jean Lumpkin.

She graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham in 1949. She entered the University of Alabama that same fall, and graduated in 1953. At the University, she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, a membership that lasted a lifetime.

Mrs. Brabham was a teacher in Birmingham and Auburn, AL. ln 1965, she and her family moved to Longview, TX where they became members of First United Methodist Church. There she soon joined the staff of School for Little Children. She belonged to many civic and church organizati­ons along with being active in many endeavors which her children were involved. ln the mid-eighties, she enthusiast­ically became a residentia­l realtor with Lenhart Properties.

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Lucy Marsh Sarrett and husband Randy of Texarkana, TX; Rebecca Marsh DiSette and husband Tim of Leawood, KS; and son David Brabham and wife Beverly of Longview, TX. She is also survived by her grandchild­ren; Sally Sarrett Bryant and her husband Will of Austin, TX; Zachary, Adam, and Sam DiSette of Leawood, KS; and Adrienne Brabham Butler and her husband Scott of Lockhart, TX. Finally, her namesake, great-granddaugh­ter, Polly Woods Bryant of Austin, TX.

The family would like to extend their unmeasurab­le gratitude to the caregivers of Sitters, LLC and Heritage Hospice for their devoted care, love, and support for Mrs. Brabham.

ln lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church-Music Program or School for Little Children both at 400 N. Fredonia St., Longview, TX 75601.
