TEXARKANA TWINS VS. VICTORIA GENERALS,

The Twins took their lumps Thursday.

Texarkana gave up 10 runs in the seventh as the Victoria Generals routed the Twins, 20-2, at George Dobson Field in a Texas Collegiate League baseball game.

Walks and errors plagued Texarkana throughout the game. The Twins made five errors, and the pitchers combined for 17 walks.

The Generals got on the board first when Christian Caudle hit an RBI triple into the right-center gap to score Darien Simms, who reached on an error.

Twins' starting pitcher Blaze Hastings got into trouble when he walked seven batters in the second, which led to four runs.

Hastings threw 1 2/3 innings, struck out two, gave up five runs on one hit.

Victoria's Kyle Moos doubled to lead off the third and later scored on a fielder's choice to make it 6-0.

Blake Porter got the first hit for Texarkana with a hot roller to right field in the third frame with two outs. The next batter popped up, and Porter was left stranded.

The Thunders' Gunner Halter singled to left-center on a roller and later landed on third after the catcher tried to pick him off at first, and the throw ended up in right field.

Chandler Robertson smacked an RBI double to left to score Halter to make it 10-1.

Robertson took third on a throwing error from the outfield after his hit.

ed out as Robertson scored Texarkana's second run of the game in the sixth.

Victoria put up 10 runs in the seventh on five hits and four walks.

Texarkana stranded 3 runners, while the Generals left 10.
