Hope Country Club will host the Watermelon 4-ball golf tournament Aug.11-13. Entry fee is $300 per team, and entrants need to sup up by 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. Texas High will host a youth football camp for incoming K-9th grade students on August 8–10. Camp registration will be on-site on first day of camp in the Texas High School Multi-Purpose Facility. The camp for K-6th grade boys will be from 8 a.m.–9:30 a.m., while the camp for incoming 7th–9th graders is from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost is free and participants will enjoy learning skills and drills. Pleasant Grove Season Football tickets for current season ticket holders will go on sale July 31 from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Central Services, 8500 North Kings Hwy. Current season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase their tickets through Friday, Aug. 4 until 11 a.m. The price this year is $28 for four home games. All remaining reserved tickets will be open to any other interested buyer beginning Aug. 7 at Central Services. For more information contact Trish Long at Central Services at 903-831-4086.
Texas High season tickets go on sale to last year’s season ticket holders Monday, July 31 through August 4. They will be on sale to the general public beginning July, August 7.
Hooks Youth Sports Association will host an Open Flag Football Tournament on September 2nd. The tournament will use NFL Flag Football rules and will be 5 on 5. We will offer a Kindergarten division, a 1st and 2nd grade division, a 3rd and 4th grade division, and a 5th and 6th grade division. There is a $125 team registration fee and the game format will be determined by the number of teams that enter each age group. Tickets are being sold for $25 in the Bowie County 4-H 52-gun drawing. Tickets will be sold for 20 more weeks and are available at D&D Guns in New Boston, Texas. You may also email Cherrie at cc-curtis@tamu.edu to find the closest 4-H member with tickets for sale.
