BETTY CROW

ATLANTA, Texas—Betty Jo Betterton Crow, 83, of Atlanta died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Crow was born July 4, 1934, in Bright Star, Ark. She was a homemaker, a reading partner and teacher’s aide with Atlanta Primary School, former Worhty Matron of Order of the Eastern Star Atlanta Chapter No. 151, Order of the Eastern Star Deputy Grand Matron for District 1 Section 9, former Mother Advisory for the Atlanta Chapter of the Order of the Rainbow Girls, and a member of Adult IV Lydia Sunday School class, Order of the Eastern Star Linden Chapter No. 576, Texarkana, Texas Shrine Club and First Baptist Church, Atlanta.

Survivors include her husband, Hardy Crow of Atlanta; one son and daughters-in-law, James and Brenda Crow of Pittsburg, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jim Horne of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Matthew Crow, Katy Estrada, Daniel Horne and Phillip Horne; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hanner Funeral Home with James Williams and Wes Mills officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
