Scrappers run past Hope, 60-20

NASHVILLE, Ark.—The Nashville Scrappers ran wild on the Hope Bobcats, 60-20, on Friday night at Scrapper Stadium.

Keith Brown started the scoring for Hope with a 10-yard run in the first quarter.

Trent Harris scored his first of four touchdowns in the first quarter at the 4:31 minute mark. Harris finished with 111 yards on 12 carries and four touchdowns.

Carmillias Morrison got in on the action for the Scrappers, scoring his first of three touchdowns in the second quarter. Morrison finished with 14 carries, 161 yards and three touchdowns.

Keenan Green scored for the Bobcats in the second quarter on a 4-yard run.

Jerrell Henry reached the endzone for Hope on a 45-yard intercepti­on in the third quarter with 4:09 remaining.

Levester Gillard caught a 39-yard dart from Tyler Hanson in the fourth quarter at the 10:07 mark. Gillard finished the night with five receptions and 139 yards, with one score.

Hanson went 17 of 21, throwing one intercepti­on and three touchdowns. He finished with 320 passing yards on the night.

Ashdown 48, Monticello 7

ASHDOWN, Ark.—The Ashdown Panthers throttled the Monticello Billies at Dick Hays Stadium to open the season.

Anthony Nelson scored two touchdowns for the Panthers but none more impressive than the 82-yard kickoff return to open the game.

Tre Green scored on two touchdowns on runs of 2 yards and 9 yards.

Ben Bircher caught a 14-yard strike for a touchdown from Jaden Hill in the first quarter.

Ladarius Bishop scored in the third quarter on a 7 yard dart from Hill.

Delrae Smith scored the game's final touchdown onh a 48-yard run.

Foreman 42, Genoa Central 14

FOREMAN, Ark.—Foreman throttled Genoa Central in the season opener, 42-14.

Kyrin Beaty led the Gators with his three touchdowns, with his first coming in the first quarter on a 31-yard run.

Bo Jewell scored the Dragons first touchdown of the season, on a 2-yard run.

Chase Bobd scored for Foreman in the third quarter, on a 4-yard run with 4:56 remaining.

Chase Gross followed the Gators attack with a 7-yard run as time was expiring in the third quarter.

Brayden Hensley scored the final touchdown for Genoa Central on a 22-yard run with 46 seconds reminaing in the fourth quarter.

Centerpoin­t 50, Murfreesbo­ro 14

AMITY, Ark.—The Centerpoin­t Knights thumped the Murfreesbo­ro Rattlers at home in the opener.

J.C. Motley led the Rattlers offense with 119 yards passing, two touchdowns and four completion­s.

Tyler Tomlinson and Bryle Fatherlee caught the touchdowns for Murfreesbo­ro.

Tomlinson finished the night with 18 yards rushing and 71 yards on two catches.

Blake Crawford scored four touchdowns on the ground for the Knights. Crawford finished with 196 yards rushing on 20 rushing attempts.

Centerpoin­t QB Owen Bright completed 16 passes on 27 attempts and 209 yards with two touchdowns.
