HOPE, Ark.—Prescott's strong running game helped pave the way to five first-half touchdowns as the Curley Wolves breezed to an easy 48-3 victory over Hope Friday night at Hammons Stadium.

Prescott (3-0) the No.1 ranked team in the Arkansas Gazette poll racked up 304 rushing yards and added 172 yards passing to completely dominate the contest.

The score could have been even worse for Hope, but after Presoctt scored early in the third quarter, the mercy rule went into effect with a running clock the rest of the game.

The Curley Wolves defense was also outstandin­g as Hope did not register a first down until just two minutes before halftime.

Prescott completely dominated the first half with 313 yards

total offense for a 34-3 halftime lead.

Meanwhile, Hope was moving backwards.

The Bobcats were assessed 50 yards in penalties and were held to just 17 yards total offense.

Prescott's offense was led by MyKal Burns with 116 yards on 11 carries, and Thomas Muldrew had 109 yards on 14 attempts.

Quarterbac­k Cade Haynie completed only 6 of 19 passes, but it resulted in 112 yards, which included touchdown passes to Bailey Adams for eight yards and a 30-yarder to Muldrew.

Laroderick Walker scored the Curley Wolves first touchdown on a 7-yard run with 3:55 left in the first quarter.

Prescott scored twice more before the end of the period for a 20-0 advantage on Burns' 25-yard run and Adams 8-yard pass.

Prescott increased its lead to 27-0 on a 3-yard run by Muldrew.

Jonathan Garcia put Hope on the scoreboard with a 30-yard field goal. Garcia had five punts for 225 yards, a 45.0 average.

Muldrew closed out the first half scoring on the 30-yard pass from Haynie.

Prescott scored early in the third period on a 9-yard pass to Cameron Cox for a 40-3 lead which led to a running clock the rest of the game.

Reserves took over from there with Jaydon Riley scoring on a 7-yard run to close out the scoring.
