Batey leads Foreman to big win over Horatio

HORATIO, Ark.—Foreman was fueled by a huge 27-point first quarter and never looked back as it cruised to an easy 47-0 victory over Horatio.

Gators' quarterbac­k Kyren Batey found the end zone early and often, including a 64-yard run in the first quarter that began the scoring onslaught, and finished the night with 198 yards and four touchdowns on just 10 carries. He also added another score through the air.

On the pursuing drive, Foreman's Chance Gross interecept­ed a pass from Zach Izzo and returned it for the score.

Batey accounted for all of the Gators' points in the second and third quarter, reaching paydirt on 73- and 13-yard runs, and finding Gross on a 23-yard score.

Horatio's Kelton Turner collected 68 yards on 11 totes.

Foreman (2-0) will play host to Spring Hill next Friday, as Horatio (2-1) will try to regroup when Gurdon pays a visit.

Ashdown 56, Hamburg 10

HAMBURG, Ark.—The Ashdown Panthers took care of business on the road against Hamburg.

Senior quarterbac­k Jaden Hill tossed five touchdowns for the Panthers.

LaDarrius Bishop caught two touchdown passes from 25 and 47 yards.

Hill, Delrae Smith and Tre Green scored rushing touchdowns for the Panthers.

Keamon Nutt and Shonturi Montue rounded out the Ashdown receivers scoring touchdowns.

Ben Birtcher scored on a 27-yard fumble recovery for the Panthers.

Ashdown is 3-0 this season.

Fouke 59, Dierks 6

FOUKE, Ark.—The Panthers used a 27-point first quarter to rout the Outlaws.

The Panthers took a 47-6 lead into halftime before cruising to victory with six points in each of the final two quarters.

The defensive unit of the Panthers had a very good game, holding the Outlaws to 110 total yards and forcing three total fumbles with one turnover.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Panthers were equally impressive, racking up 498 total yards of offense.The Panthers were led by Jarret Easley with 182 yards on nine carries and there touchdowns.

Hampton Varsity 46, Murfreesbo­ro 12

MURFREESBO­RO, Ark.—The Rattlers looked shaken against a good Hampton Varsity team in a 46-12 loss.

Murfreesbo­ro struggled against the run, allowing 274 yards and five touchdowns, including 141 yards and three scores from running back Elian Martinez.

Hampton quarterbac­k Browning Welch added another score and 70 yards through the air on his 3 of 4 passing night.

JC Motley threw one touchdown pass and 117 yards, and running back Tyler Tomlinson accounted for the only other score for the Rattlers.

Murfreesbo­ro (0-3) will travel to

Lafayette County on Friday.
