Kenneth Davis, 82 of Texarkana, AR. passed away Tuesday at Davis Farms in Ogden, AR. Mr. Davis was born January 31, 1935 In Ogden, AR. He graduated from Ashdown High School in 1952 and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1956 with a degree in Agronomy. After college he returned to Little River County to manage and operate Davis Farms until his death. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. where he was a member of the Administra­tive Board, Chairman of the Board of Ushers and president of the New Covenant Class. He was past president of the Red River Cattlemen’s Associatio­n and served on the ASCS Committee and Miller County Levee Board. He was appointed by Gov. Dale Bumpers to the Alcohol Beverage and Control Board and served as chairman. Following the 1990 Red River flood he was selected to appear before the Agricultur­e Committee of The House of Representa­tives regarding appropriat­ing recovery funds for the 113,000 acres affected. He was appointed by Gov. Mike Beebe as an original member of the Arkansas Board of Agricultur­e. In 1996 his family was selected as Little River County Farm Family of the year.

Survived by his wife Linda Bauer Davis of Texarkana; three sons and daughtersi­nKeith and Donna Davis of Dallas, TX., Brad and Jana Davis of Little Rock, AR. and Donald and Donna Davis of Texarkana; one daughter and son-inlaw Jennifer and Carter Adams of Texarkana; one brother Joe Robert Davis of Houston, TX. and sister Mary Ann Morrison of Ogden, AR; four grandchild­ren, Daniel Pellegrin, Madeleine Ritter, Laura Davis and Lilly Davis. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 13, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR with Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiatin­g. Private graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR, or the charity of your choice.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at East Funeral HomeDownto­wn.
