Help clean up downtown this weekend

Volunteers have two opportunities to help clean up downtown Texarkana this weekend.

The Downtown Neighborhood Association is sponsoring cleanups Saturday and Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

To participate, check in at the Lindsey Railroad Museum, 202 E. Broad St., at 9 a.m. either day.

Bottled water and garbage bags will be provided, but volunteers are asked to bring their own brooms, dustpans and other equipment.
