LAST WEEK: Arkansas High (5-4, 3-3) blanked Siloam Springs (2-7, 1-5) on Senior Night at Panther Stadium, 37-0.
THIS WEEK: The Hogs travel to Conference 6A rival El Dorado (8-1, 5-1) for a clash at Wildcat Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m.
OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: Junior Irijah Price caught five passes for a game-high 141 yards and two touchdowns. Price also broke a 84-yard kickoff return for AHS. Junior DeJordan Mask caught two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Junior Drake Browning caught three passes for 45 yards. Junior Jordan Hall rushed 13 times for 18 yards and a score for the Hogs. Hog specialist Patrick Cook booted a 36-yard field goal and also made four extra points on five attempts.
DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: Mask snagged three interceptions for the Razorback secondary, bringing his season total to 6 picks on the year. Junior Tre Cleveland continued to rack up tackles, finishing the night with six, totaling 108 for the season. Junior Demetrias Charles intercepted his first pass of the season from his defensive end position. Defensive end Isaiah Gray finished the night with seven tackles for Arkansas High. COACH BARRY NORTON’S COMMENTS: “I was a little worried about the travel but our kids handled it well. Our defense played really well and we controlled the pace of the game. Defensively, we
we created a lot of turnovers and I thought we were sound in the kicking game. Offensively, we made some good plays and had a chance to work on some things. We were able to look at some things and getting a win on the road is always good for a program.”
“DeJordan (Mask) had a huge game for us. It’s so good to have him back. Irijah (Price) played a great game for us as well. Having Drake (Browning), Irijah and DeJordan in our lineup give us more weapons. Our offense is meshing well, so we just have to go out there and take care of business.”
“Isaiah Gray played a really good game for us. He sprung Irijah open on that kickoff return and he also had some big stops for us defensively. DeJordan made some big plays for our defense as well. He had three interceptions that stopped their offensive drives.”
