COACH STEVE WELLS’ COMMENTS: “We played really well. Decorian had one of his best games in his two years of playing quarterback. Looking around to find our offensive players, we saw we had a slew of them have great games. (Mahleik) Darty had a really big catch, when we were up just

a touchdown, and had a great catch-and-run for a 78-yard score. Cooper and Greer had some big games, (Isaiah) Cross had some big catches and Crabtree did a good job running the ball. I was proud of the way we played.

“Defensively, in the first half, we had a few mistakes with our alignments that they were able to hit some long runs. We came back in the second half and made some adjustments, and we did a better job of getting some stops. We bent a little bit but didn’t break. I was proud of the way we played defensively in the second half to keep them out of the end zone.”
