Bowie County sheriff’s lieutenant announces JP bid

-

A Bowie County law enforcement officer has announced his candidacy for Justice of the Peace for Precinct One Place Two.

Lt. Todd Fore has served with the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office for over 18 years and prides himself on the time spent protecting the citizens of Bowie County.

“I have been involved in the law field for a very long time, and moving to the judicial side of the table will be an added blessing to my accomplishments,” Fore said in a press release. “I have heard of other people believing that this could be a part-time job, however, I take this position seriously and am very aware that this is not a part-time job. It is, in fact, a full-time job and should be treated as such.”

Fore is a graduate of Hooks High School, served in the Coast Guard and is the president of the Bowie County Dive Team, a search-and-rescue organization.

Fore said he and his family believe his decision to run for justice of the peace is for the best.

“For the last few months, my wife and I have discussed and contemplated this change and after careful consideration, we decided that this was a great opportunity for me to continue to be helpful and productive within our community,” Fore said. “I look forward to serving the citizens of Bowie County for many more years if elected.”

Fore will be running as a Republican.
