PINEAPPLE CHERRY SALAD

Ingredient­s:

1 8-oz. can crushed pineapple

1/2 cup sugar

8-oz. cream cheese, softened

1 envelope unflavored gelatin

1/2 pint (4-oz.) whipping cream

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup chopped nuts small bottle maraschino cherries

Directions: Drain juice from pineapple. Add to juice sugar, and boil until syrupy. Dissolve gelatin into water and add to syrup, stirring until completely dissolved. Mash cheese and add to pineapple. When syrup is cool, add cheese, pineapple, whipping cream, nuts and cherries. Pour into mold and chill.
