Fouke girls cruise past Lafayette County, 65-33

STAMPS, Ark.—Lakyn Smallwood and Hannah Mauldin gave Fouke girls a spark on Saturday as each recorded a double-double in the Lady Panthers’ 65-33 triumph over Lafayette County on Saturday.

Smallwood finished with gamehighs in scoring and rebounds, netting 17 points and bringing down 12 boards, as Mauldin added 10 more points and 11 rebounds. Teammate Taylor Hardin also scored 17 points for the Lady Panthers, including four 3-pointers.

In junior varsity action, Fouke also routed Lafayette County, 43-12.

Morgan Dodson and Madison Crow each scored 10 points in the Lady Panthers’ win.

Fouke (3-1) will be on the road on Nov. 28 to take on Maud. Atlanta 59, Jefferson 27

Keyona Easter scorched the nets for a game-high 18 points as Atlanta pounded Jefferson on Saturday.

Laddy Rabbits’ Brittany Collins scored 17, and teammate Amber Adams added 10 points.

Atlanta 41, Hawkins 35

Atlanta overcame a slow third quarter to shutout Hawkins in the fourth quarter to escape with a win.

Keyona Easter poured in a game-high 22 points for the Lady Rabbits.

Spring Hill 53, Daingerfie­ld 34

SPRING HILL, Texas— Daingerfie­ld girls couldn’t overcome a slow start where they were outscored 21-4 in the first quarter on Saturday as they fell to Spring Hill.

The Lady Tigers played the rest of the contest close, however, only being outscored, 32-30, in the final three quarters.

Kiara Robinson led Daingerfie­ld with 11 points and brought down three rebounds.

The Lady Tigers (1-3) will travel to Pittsburg on Nov. 28.

Boys Avinger Tournament

AVINGER, Texas—McLeod had four players in double digits Saturday during its first game of the day in the Avinger tournament, and defeated Miller Grove, 75-70.

Trevor Deel led all scorers with 27 points, while teammate Zach Prince wasn’t far behind, finishing with 21. Blake Williams added 16 more for the Longhorns, and Degan Keener scored 11.

In the second game, McLeod took down Athens Prep, 44-36, behind a game-high 14 points from Prince.

Finishing second in the tourney, McLeod now sports a 6-1 record.
