B&B Uniforms knows what professionals need
When it comes to running a business, it helps when you have walked in the shoes of your customers. Carla Conly, owner of B&B Uniforms, has done that.
“I’ve been a registered nurse since 1988,” said Conly. “I know the trade of nursing and what nurses need. If they can get proper fitting uniforms that are comfortable and hold up under the stresses the work brings, that makes things easier for them. I try to do just that.”
B&B Uniforms started out in a van, but has been in the permanent location for about a year. But van or building, Conly has brought uniform options to nurses and others in the medical profession. Also, she provides uniforms to chefs and others in cafeteria work. Again, the goal is comfortable, durable, practical uniforms that need a minimum of maintenance.
“We are stocked with the latest, the hottest, if you will in uniforms for these professions,” Conly said. “These uniforms are made up of polyester and spandex and don’t require ironing. Clean them and they are ready to go.”
Conly keeps the popular brands in stock, such as Landau and Cherokee, as well as others. She also stocks various pieces of medical support equipment, like stethoscopes, compression hosiery, shoes and nursing clogs.
“As I said, I’ve literally walked in those shoes. People in all those trades are often on their feet for hours. Comfort, endurance wear, arch support, they are looking for all those things.”
Future plans for B&B Uniforms include a larger building as well as increasing what is in stock. She wants B&B to be a one-stop shop for those in those trades and serve them in a way that online competitors can’t.
“It is about the personal service, personal touch,” she said. “Making sure these uniforms fit each customer to their unique specifications. You can’t get that from an online order service. But you can get that here.”
Conly has not lost her touch with those professionals in the trenches and appreciates all they do and seeks to support them however she can.
“I appreciate all the hardworking professionals that come to me to meet their uniform and equipment needs. I look forward to many more years of service. Merry Christmas and God bless you all.”
