Hempstead County sheriff’s department unveils free app

-

The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office has announced a new mobile app, according to Sheriff James Singleton.

The free app allows easy access to the most important features of the website: Contact Us, Submit a Crime Tip, Press Releases, Inmate Roster, Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offender Map.

“The app user can select which push notifications they would like to subscribe to through the app. The new mobile app will serve as an additional information resource for the public and will assist with community policing efforts,” Singleton said.

“The app is an additional way to provide transparency for the Sheriff’s Office and encourage the public to take an active role in community policing efforts. We would love for every county resident or visitor to download our app and sign up for our push notifications. We believe our app will be a huge benefit to the Sheriff’s Office and the residents of Hempstead County as well,” Singleton said.

The app is available both Android and iOS mobile devices. To download, visit HempsteadCountySheriff.org/app or go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and type “Hempstead County Sheriff” in the search bar.

The app was developed by Brooks Jeffrey Marketing Inc. of Mountain Home, Ark., which develops websites, apps and integrated marketing solutions for law enforcement, government offices, organizations and businesses.
