Decorian Phillips of Liberty-Eylau named MVP of All-District Team.

Liberty-Eylau senior quarterbac­k Decorian Phillips was named the Most Valuable Player on the District 7-4A, Division I all-district football team after leading the Leopards to a share of the league title and a 4-1 district record.

L-E and Paris each had four superlativ­es awarded on the annual team, chosen by the district coaches. The Leopard and Wildcat coaching staffs shared the Coach of the Year honor with Princeton.

Liberty-Eylau senior tackle Kylar Cooks was chosen as the Most Valuable Offensive Linemen, and sophomore Trey Revels was co-Newcomer of the Year for the Leopards. Revels tied with Princeton sophomore Dacarius Cook.

Paris’ Donovan Williams was the Offensive MVP, and teammate Vershaun Richardson was the Defensive MVP. Paris’ Montana Payne was the Special Teams MVP.

Anna’s Bubba Jones was selected as the Most Valuable Defensive Lineman, and Quinlan Ford’s Linus Beierschmi­tt was the Most Valuable Utility Player.

The Leopards had 12 players named to the first team: seven on offense and five on defense.

Senior tailback Ralph Crabtree was a first-team running back, and three of the four dynamic receivers were named to the first team, including El-Amin Greer, Isaiah Cross and Mahleik Darty.

On the offensive line, center Colton Bergt and guard Dayshuwn McChester were first-team selections for Liberty-Eylau, as was tackle Trey Parker. All three are seniors.

Defensivel­y, Antony Alexander was selected as an interior lineman for the first team, and Orion Williams was chosen at defensive end. Domonique Williams was selected at outside linebacker, and in the secondary Michael Conley was a first team cornerback and Kentrell Chatmon a safety on the the first team.
