Campbell leads Bloomburg to 53-28 win over Avinger

AVINGER, Texas— Bloomburg rode a huge first half to a 53-28 victory over Avinger on Friday night.

The Lady Wildcats outscored the home team, 34-10, in the first two quarters en route to their 25-point victory.

Haylee Campbell scorched the nets for 20 points for Bloomburg while teammate Erin Evans added another 14.

Bloomburg (16-10, 4-2) will be back on the road Tuesday when it clashes with Yantis.

Redwater 27, Hughes Springs 23

REDWATER, Texas—The Lady Dragons were fueled by a second-half rally that led to a five-point win over Hughes Springs on Friday night.

After coming out of halftime trailing 14-6, Redwater outscored the Lady Mustangs, 21-9 in the final two quarters.

Haley Latham led the Lady Dragons with 11 points and teammate Karlee Carmony added eight.

Hughes Springs’ Kinsly Echols finished with a teamhigh five points.

Maud 50, Linden-Kildare 25

LINDEN, Texas—Maud scored 26 points in the third quarter to rout short-handed Linden-Kildare on Friday night.

Alex Conkleton lit up the scoreboard with a game-high 17 points and Brianna Barnette scored 11 for the Lady Cardinals.

Linden-Kildare’s Skylar Vaughn had a team-high 14 points and teammate Haley Palmer brought down 11 rebounds.

BOYS Linden-Kildare 61, Maud 51

LINDEN, Texas—LindenKild­are had four players in double-digit scoring en route to a 10-point win against Maud on Friday night.

Marquise Jones led the Tigers with 14 points as teammates Dalton Alfrod, Ja’Kevian Rose and Jacob Owen each added 12 apiece.

Maud’s Brooks Minter finished with a game-high 18 points and Gage Jones netted 14.

Linden-Kildare’s junior varsity beat Maud, 45-29, with Chase Bynum scoring a game-high 14 points and Mason Johnson adding 11.
