Fouke girls cruise past Lady Scrappers,

FOUKE, Ark.—Fouke girls nailed 12 3-pointers and cruised past Nashville, 69-47, to earn the school’s first 21-win season in two decades on Thursday at Panther Gym.

Mallory Oliver scorched the nets for a season-high 18 points, including five treys, and Hannah Mauldin added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Panthers. Teammates Taylor Hardin netted 17 points and River Watkins had 12.

Nashville’s La’Shonna Cooper scored 12 points and Erina Bretedo finished with 10.

Fouke (21-6, 8-3) will be back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Wickes, Ark., to play in the District 7-3A tournament at Cossatot River High School.

Genoa Central 40, Mena 33

GENOA, Ark.—Genoa Central got hot in the second half, outscoring Mena, 28-19, for the win.

Victorial Hill hit the Lady Dragons’ only 3-pointer, while scoring a game-high 13 points.

Boys

Hooks 53, DeKalb 49

HOOKS, Texas—Hooks got big contributi­ons from Connor Price and was able to rally in the fourth quarter to down DeKalb.

Price finished with a game-high 18 points, and the Hornets connected on five 3-pointers.

DeKalb’s DJ Gray netted 11 points and teammate Alex Clark added 10.

Hooks (8-5) will travel to Hughes Springs on Tuesday.

Pittsburg 60, Atlanta 53

ATLANTA, Texas—Pittsburg scored 26 points and erased a 13-point deficit to rally past Atlanta.

Kylan Carter led the Rabbits with 12 points and Charlie Powell added 10.

Redwater 70, Paul Pewitt 31

REDWATER, Texas–Redwater used a big second half to bury the Brahmas.

The Dragons led 14-8 after the first quarter before really putting it in gear and dismantlin­g Paul Pewitt.

After taking a 37-21 lead into halftime, Redwater outscored the Brahmas, 33-10, the rest of the way.

Redwater (13-13, 7-6) led in scoring by Spencer Cowgill with 12, and Khalton Cox added 10. Sam Smith was the game-high scorer with 13 for the Brahmas.
