Grants are on agenda for Bowie commissioners
NEW BOSTON, Texas—Bowie County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. today to consider reapplying for two state court and supervision grants.
Commissioners will consider allowing the county to apply for any available funds from the state’s Drug Court Grant program for the next fiscal year (2018-19) as well as for state grant funds for the county’s Community Supervision and Corrections Department.
In other business, the Commissioners Court will also consider reappointing Emergency Services District Commissioners Randy Mansfield and Kenny Turner to another two-year term on the county’s Emergency Services District No. 4.
They will also consider buying property at 902 W. Front St. in DeKalb, Texas, for the county’s justice of the peace Precinct 3 office.
