Miller County deputies responded Wednesday to CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana regarding a 1-month-old girl with multiple injuries. Emergency room physicians reported the child had multiple fractures and had to be taken by Angel One medical helicopter from CHRISTUS St. Michael to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock for specialized treatment of her injuries.

Further examination revealed the baby was suffering from multiple rib fractures, injuries to the pelvic region and leg and possible skull abnormalities. She was admitted to the children’s hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
