Registration open for youth, teen summer camps at SAU

Online registration begins today for the fourth annual Mulerider Kids College and the second annual Mulerider Teen College at Southern Arkansas University.

Two Kids College camps will be held from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 25-28. Teen College will be held 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 9-11.

Kids College is for youths entering first through sixth grades, with Teen College offered for students entering grades seventh through ninth.

Those attending Kids College can choose from 31 classes, and Teen College attendees can choose from 16 offerings. Each student can choose three 60-minute classes and Kids College attendees can also choose to attend both morning and afternoon camps. Those who choose this option will be provided lunch in the cafeteria. All participants will receive a T-shirt, snacks and a bag. Teen College participants will also be provided lunch each day.

Tuition is $60 per student, per camp. Registration deadline is April 25, with late registration accepted through May 1 for an additional $25, based on availability.

Class information and registration forms are available at http:// web.saumag.edu/kids-college. Class placement is on a first come, first served basis. Forms are also available in the SAU Advising Center, in Overstreet Hall 235.

A limited number of scholarships are available and are awarded based on financial need and on a first come, first served basis. The applications are also on the website. Deadline to apply is April 5. Scholarship winners will be notified by April 14.
