THS upends host Airline
SHREVEPORT, La.—Texas High’s baseball squad defeated host Airline, 5-1, in the Airline Invitational in Shreveport.
Dakota Turner led the Tigers from the plate with one hit and one RBI.
Chris Sutton added a hit and scored twice for THS, and Cole Christen added an RBI.
Davis Walker received the win on the hill for Texas High.
Jakob Hearne and Chris Lyles, each scored for the Tigers.

HALLSVILLE, Texas—Host Hallsville got off to a hot start and wouldn’t give Liberty-Eylau anything to work with on Thursday in the Hallsville Tournament.
The Leopards could only muster one hit in four innings.
Trevarie Hodge got the lone single for Liberty-Eylau.
The Leopards faced off against the Lobos in the second game.
Liberty-Eylau came back and scored the tying run in the final inning, but Longview rallied in bottom of the frame to take the win at the Hallsville Tournament.
Bryan Moore went 2-for-3 and hit a single, double and brought in a run, while Blake Carter, Preston Bunch and Cutter Webb combined for four RBIs.
Subvarsity
Pleasant Grove hosted five junior varsity teams for its spring tennis invitational tournament on Thursday.
Catalina Cordero won the girls singles and Carl Mead won the boys singles.
Pleasant Grove is hosting 10 varsity teams at Texarkana College starting at 8 a.m.
PG frosh win
Pleasant Grove fresmen stymied a late Atlanta junior varsity rally to hold on for a 4-3 victory.
Down 4-1, Atlanta scored two runs in the final frame before the Hawks went to bullpen.
Cade Norris pitched 6 2/3 innings for the Hawks to post the win as Carson Rhodes came in to get the last out and the save.
PG’s Tucker Anderson had two RBIs and East Jones hit an RBIdouble.
