The Trice Horticulture Environment

Awareness Team has won the Arkansas school division of RecycleBowl 2017.

More than 1,000 schools and 550,000 students and teachers participated in the event, recycling 2 million pounds of paper and other materials.

HEAT is made up of third- and fourth-grade students who come together with a common goal of making the environment a better place.

The Arkansas High School and

North Heights Junior High bands competed in the New Boston Invitational Concert in New Boston, Texas, and each band earned first division superior ratings in concert and sight-reading performance. A first division rating indicates a first-place finish in the contest.

University of Arkansas HopeTexarkana held the 11th Annual Spring Foundation Scholarship Ceremony on Wednesday, March 7.

The foundation awarded privately funded scholarships to students totaling $36,020. “We appreciate the generous support of all the foundation donors. This kindhearted support makes it possible for many students to overcome the barriers they face in achieving their educational goals,” said Jill Bobo, executive director.
