Horatio takes down Fouke, 16-3

HORATIO, Ark.—Horatio scored 16 runs on seven hits to take down Fouke, 16-3.

Garret Wilson and Zach Izzo both collected two hits for the Lions and Dakota Frachiseur finished with a game-high four RBI.

Horatio’s Wade Beasley pitched a complete-game gem as he struck out 15 batters and got the win.

Queen City 10, Daingerfield 0

QUEEN CITY, Texas— Josue Rea pitched Queen City past Daingerfield.

Rea hurled a complete game while striking out six for the Bulldogs. Kade Brooks went 2-for-2 at the plate with two hits.

Queen City (9-5, 3-2) hosts Paul Pewitt at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Softball Queen City 27, Daingerfield 1

QUEEN CITY, Texas— Queen City put on a show early as it poured in 15 runs in the first inning en route to a romp over Daingerfield on Friday.

Chey Hill, Emily Maxwell and Macey Belote both smashed home runs, Jace Calloway and Hill belted doubles, and Tierra Johnson singled to help give the Lady Bulldogs a huge advantage.

Queen City tallied 16 hits in the win, and pitcher Kaci Thomas pitched three solid innings that included six strikeouts and no walks.

Hughes Springs 13, Hooks 0

HOOKS, Texas—Hughes Springs scored 10 runs in the first two innings and kept Hooks scoreless to take the run-rule victory.

Kensley Echols, Marisol Kennedy and Haylee Wilson each finished with three hits for the Lady Mustangs and Echols and Wilson com- bined for seven RBI.

Zaida Lanier pitched a complete game and finished with four strikeouts.

Redwater 7, DeKalb 1

REDWATER, Texas— Redwater posted a win against DeKalb.

Bethanee Calicott had 13 strikeouts for the Lady Dragons, and teammate Savannah Corbell led all batters at the plate with three hits.

New Boston 12, Paul Pewitt 0

NEW BOSTON, Texas— Morgan McAlexander pitched a complete game while posting a shutout to help New Boston defeat Paul Pewitt.

McAlexander finished with seven strikeouts for the Lady Lions.

New Boston’s Carlee Ratcliff connected on a tworun home run and finished with four RBI, and teammates Alaysia Henderson and McKenzee Thomas had three hits apiece, while Angle Evans and Grace Duffer each added two hits.

Maud 13, Linden-Kildare 3

MAUD, Texas—Kaitlin Conway struck out seven and earned the win as the Lady Cardinals rolled past the Lady Tigers.

BB Barnette singled, doubled, scored three runs and had an RBI for Maud, while teammate Haley Yates singled, doubled and added an RBI.

Allie Houchens belted a triple, singled and had 2 RBIs for the Lady Cardinals, and teammate Lanie Lee helped out with an RBI double.

MaKayla Martin smashed a home run, singled and had 2 RBI for Linden-Kildare.

Maud plays at McLeod on Tuesday.
