AHS gets win on road against Lake Hamilton

LAKE HAMILTON, Ark.— Arkansas High scored six in the fourth and survived a late scare to come away with the victory against Lake Hamilton on Friday.

Austin Nix led the Razorbacks at the plate with two doubles.

Gage Gore got the win on the mound and Drake Browning struck out four in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Horatio 9, Genoa Central 0

GENOA, Ark.—Zach Izzo knocked in five of Horatio’s nine runs to help take down Genoa Central on Friday.

Wade Beasley struck out 12 for the Lions to post the win on the mound.

Mason Sellers finished with two hits for the Dragons.

Queen City 10,

New Boston 0

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Queen City put up six runs in the third inning en route to a rule-rule victory over New Boston on Friday.

Kade Brooks went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs, and teammates Matthew Davenport and Jordan Wiley both finished with two hits. Josue Rea got the win on the mound as he fanned four and only allowed two hits.

Queen City (10-6, 4-3) will host Redwater on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Softball New Boston 7, Queen City 6

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Lauren Hurst came in relief to help pitch New Boston past Queen City on Friday.

Hurst finished with two strikeouts and only allowed three hits after the Lady Lions gave up six runs in the first two innings.

New Boston’s Carlee Ratcliff had three hits and 2 RBI.

Macey Belote led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits.

Linden-Kildare 14, Bloomburg 7

BLOOMBURG, Texas—LindenKild­are survived a six-run third inning by Bloomburg and scored six of its own in the sixth frame to come away with the win.

D’Shantie Sadler smashed a solo shot for the Lady Tigers and Braylee Harrist, Kylie Williams, Kaitlyn Salazar and Jaici Smallwood all hit doubles.

Lauren Spaniol pitched a complete game while striking out nine in the win.
