Clarksvill­e, Linden-Kildare take crown in District 15-2A track meet

LINDEN, Texas—The District 15-2A track champions have been crowned.

Clarksvill­e won the boys division with 137 points and LindenKild­are took the girls division with 152 points.

Clarksvill­e’s Deontae Ricks won the 100 meter dash and teammate Tre’Derrian Rose won the 200 meter dash. LaVante Edwards won the 110 meter hurdles and long jump for the Tigers. Rose, Edwards, Ricks and Deont’e Tavie won the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x200 meter relay for Clarksvill­e.

Zach Prince won the 800 meter run and and 1600 meter run for McLeod, while teammate Jaden McGray won the 3200 meter run.

Maud’s Jordan Creutz won the 400 meter dash and Brandon Hall won the 300 meter hurdles. Creutz, Stacy Brown, Brooks Minter and Josh Luther won the 4x400 meter relay for the Longhorns.

Dre’Shawn Williams won the shot put for Linden-Kildare and Jakevian Rose took home the triple jump crown.

James Bowie’s Dakota Grant took home the discus title.

Alyssa Hall won the 800 meter run for McLeod in the girls division and the 1600 meter run.

James Bowie’s Kandice Wise won the 3200 meter run and teammate Baylee Williams won the shot put.

Ericka Carr won the high jump for Maud.

Kayla Hines won the 200 meter dash, long jump and triple jump for Linden-Kildare. Hines, Treasure Hines, Jada Madlock and Zardajah Mitchell won the 4x100 meter relay for L-K. Hines, Mitchell, Madlock and Kendall Wells won the 4x200 meter relay for the Lady Tigers. Peyton Turner also won the 300 meter hurdles for LindenKild­are.

Deaveonne Jackson won the 1oo meter dash for Clarksvill­e, while teammate LaQuesha Clark won the 100 meter hurdles. Chakyra Griffin won the discus for the Lady Tigers.

An agate for both meets will be in Friday’s edition.
