Steward Health Care System oversees Wadley and focuses on quality services

-

In late 2017, Wadley Regional Medical Center gained new parent company.

Steward Health Care System LLC completed a previously announced agreement to merge with IASIS Healthcare LLC.

Steward is the sole operator of the newly merged company and oversees 36 hospitals in 10 states, including Wadley.

Quality health care is still the focus.

Wadley’s unwavering commitment to quality health care in this community remains, officials say.

The hospital’s name remains the same with the tag line “A Steward Family Hospital.”

Steward projects revenues of nearly $8 billion this year and is now the largest private hospital operator in the United States with approximately 37,000 employees, 1,400 physicians and 4,700 integrated network physicians, according to company officials

The merger expands Steward’s successful, physicianintegrated care model.

Steward’s integrated model focuses on the total patient and aims to keep patients healthy. Its hospitals regularly achieve the highest ratings of quality and safety. Steward pioneered its health care model in Massachusetts, where it turned around some of the state’s most struggling hospitals and created a thriving health system that improved outcomes, lowered costs and established lasting partnerships with local communities, according to company officials.
