The fairground­s hosts events such as the Four States Fair & Rodeo in September, Sparks in the Park around July 4 and motorsport­s, horse shows, community events, other rodeos, barrel racing and more. It has an indoor Entertainm­ent Center with arena, the Ag Learning Center, livestock barns and more.

Fun Country Park— 8225 N. State Line Ave., Texarkana, Texas; 903791-0001; funcountry­park.com. The activity park has go-carts, rock wall climbing, miniature golf and party packages.

G-force Indoor Trampoline &

The family-friendly entertainm­ent center has trampoline­s, a ninja course, an open jump area, slam dunk lanes, dodgeball, tumble lanes and more. A media lounge and concession stand are available, and the venue hosts events such as birthday parties, team building workshops, office parties and fundraiser­s.

A 25,000-square-foot trampoline park with LED lighting and a sound system, dodgeball courts, a ninja course, basketball hoops, an airbag, birthday rooms and more. Party options are available. Trampoline­s include half-pipes and 3-D interconne­cted freestyle trampoline­s. It also has a lounge

for parents.

JefFURson and Kylee Sullivan

PetSafe dog parks— JefFURson is attached to Jefferson Park at 1520 E. 12th St., Texarkana, Ark. The Kylee Sullivan park is inside Spring Lake Park at 4303 N. Park Road in Texarkana, Texas. Parks where dogs can run and play in an enclosed, safe space. The Arkansas-side park is open from dawn to dusk, and the Texas-side park is open at 7 a.m. daily.

Kidtopia and Skatetopia parks—

201 Oak St., Texarkana, Texas; 903-798-3978. Multi-purpose playground near Texarkana Public Library with a skate park hospitable to all skateboard­ing skill levels with ledges, stair sets, down rails and an open bowl.

Painting with a Twist— 2700

Richmond Road Suite 1, Texarkana, Texas; 903-244-7879. Instructio­n from local artists and casual, fun art-making sessions for groups. Family and children’s classes, weekday parties, girls night, date night and other events are held.

Perot Theatre— 221 Main St., Texarkana, Texas; 903-7924992; trahc.org/perot-theatre. Considered a downtown gem with an immaculate interior and first known as the Saenger when it opened in 1924, the Perot hosts the TRAHC Perot Theatre Series, dance recitals and rental shows that bring top artists and events to the stage. Performers in recent years included B.B. King and Willie Nelson. The theater is on the National Register of Historic Places. Tours are available.

Scott Joplin Mural— 311 Main St., Texarkana, Texas. Mural celebrates the life of Scott Joplin, a Texarkana-area native who achieved fame as a ragtime musician and composer. Joplin received early musical studies in Texarkana. His music was featured in the 1970s film “The Sting.”

Second Saturday Trade Days—

105 Olive St., Texarkana, Ark. Hosted by the 1894 City Market and the 1894 Gallery, the event features artists working inside the gallery or outdoors, unique vendors, live music and more from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

Silvermoon on Broad and Silvermoon Children’s

Theatre— 217 W. Broad St., Texarkana, Texas; 903-792-0562; silvermoon­onbroad.com and silvermoon­kids.com. Multi-purpose space hosts events such as fundraiser­s or weddings, children’s theater, art exhibits and more with a large hall, parlor, court-

yard, lobbies and full commercial kitchen. Silvermoon Children’s Theatre provides a season’s lineup of family theater.

SNS Mobile Video

Gaming— 903-733-1285; snsmobilev­ideogaming.com. Mobile video-gaming trailer that can host birthday parties, community events and other get-togethers with an array of gaming platforms, flat-screen TVs, surround sound, a 24-foot couch and more.

Rotary Splash Pad— Inside Spring Lake Park, 4303 N. Park Road, Texarkana, Texas; 903-798-3978. This water feature helps locals cool off during the summer months in the 145acre park that also includes picnic areas, an 18-hole disc golf course, a walking and biking trail, baseball fields, playground­s, a fishing pier and more. The splash pad is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Texarkana Convention Center and Arkansas Convention Center—

Texarkana Convention Center is at 4610 Cowhorn Creek Road in Texarkana, Texas; 903-792-1065. Arkansas Convention Center is at 5200 Convention Plaza Drive in Texarkana, Ark.; 870-216-2000. The Texas-side center features a ballroom, outdoor event plaza, full-service restaurant for corporate functions, special events, social events and more. It hosts the annual Ark-La-Tex Comic Con. The Arkansassi­de center was built in 2014 and is adjacent to Holiday Springs Water Park.

Texarkana Public Library— 600 W. Third St., Texarkana, Texas; 903-7942149; txar-publib.org. The library serves all residents of the Twin Cities with books, CDs, videos, DVDs, digital magazines and downloadab­le audio books available for checkout. Resources include Wi-Fi, copy and fax services, print and electronic reference informatio­n and a variety of events for the general public, including children.

Texarkana Repertory Co.— 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas; 903831-7827; texrep.org. TexRep produces stage shows in Stilwell Theatre at Texarkana College. Formed in 1990, TexRep seasons generally include a big musical production and other Broadway show adaptation­s, with comedies and dramas among its top quality theatrical fare. Recent shows include “Shrek the Musical,” “August: Osage County” and “The Little Mermaid.”
