Ashdown tops Maud in sweep

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Ashdown swept Maud at home in varsity volleyball Tuesday night, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Riley Murphy led the Lady Cardinals with 10 service points, four aces and two blocks. Makenna Jones added seven kills and 15 digs. Brynn Sultz ended with 17 digs and six service points.

Ashdown’s junior varsity defeated Maud, 25-10, 25-12.

The Cardinals are back in action on Thursday, traveling to the North Hopkins Tournament.

Lady Leopards sweep Hooks

HOOKS, Texas—Liberty-Eylau defeated Hooks in three sets on the road Tuesday, 25-19, 25-16, 25-16.

Tamara Norris and Mariah Coleman each chipped in nine service points for the Lady Leopards, while Bryana Block added seven service points.

Keeley Norris finished with 13 kills and 12 blocks for the Leopards. Daycoria Meadows ended with nine kills, five blocks and 12 assist.

The Leopards are back in action on Friday at the Marshall Invitation­al Tournament.

Clarksvill­e falls to Daingerfie­ld

DAINGERFIE­LD, Texas— Daingerfie­ld swept Clarksvill­e at home Tuesday night, 25-11, 25-19, 25-13.

Adisen Key led the host Lady Tigers with 12 service points, six aces and eight digs. Jaclyn Garrett put down six kills, Destiny Hurndon made five digs to go with four aces, and TreShawnti Howard had five assists for Daingerfie­ld.

The Tigers (2-1) will travel to the Marshall Invitation­al tournament on Friday.
