Maud beats Waskom in 4 sets on the road

WASKOM, Texas—Maud defeated Waskom in volleyball on the road in four sets, 14-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-19.

Makenna Jones and Riley Murphy led the Lady Cardinals with 12 service points, 10 kills and two blocks each. Brianna Barnette ended with 22 digs and Haley Yates contributed 22 assists.

Waskom defeated Maud in the junior varsity match, 25-16, 25-16.

Taylor Pate led the Lady

Cards with five service points.

Maud defeated Waskom in the 9th grade match, 25-17, 26-24.

Macey McDonald led Maud with eight service points.

Daingerfield tops Paul Pewitt

DAINGERFIELD, Texas— Daingerfield’s volleyball squad defeated Paul Pewitt at home on Tuesday, 20-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-13.

Sissy Jones led the Lady Brahmas with 14 service points, three digs, one kill and four assists. Hannah McGee added seven service points and three digs for the Brahmas.

Daingerfield defeated Pewitt in the junior varsity match, 26-24, 25-18.

Lexi Cobb led the Brahmas with nine service points.

Pewitt is back in action today at the Hooks Tournament.

DeKalb falls to Mount Vernon

DEKALB, Texas—Mount Vernon swept DeKalb on the road Tuesday night, 25-16, 25-13, 25-20.

Emily Murphy led the Lady Bears with 10 service points and Carrie Almond contributed five kills with four blocks.

Kynli Holder and Evette Martinez, each collected 12 assists for the Bears.

DeKalb fell to Mount Vernon in the junior varsity match, 26-24, 25-20.

Aniyah Johnson led the Bears with 10 service points.
