Health insurance symposium is slated for Oct. 26

Ark-La-Tex Health Network, a physician-hospital organizati­on in Texarkana, Texas, will host its fourth annual Health Insurance Symposium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Texarkana Convention Center, 4610 Cowhorn Creek Road, Texarkana, Texas.

The insurance symposium is the only event of its kind in the Texarkana region that is tailored for medical office managers, billers, coders, front desk specialist­s, referral and authorizat­ion specialist­s, nurses, case managers, physicians, nurse practition­ers, administra­tors and others.

During changing times in the health care market, the insurance symposium offers the medical community an opportunit­y to meet face-to-face with health insurance representa­tives, as well as educationa­l presentati­ons on a variety of health plans, plan requiremen­ts, authorizat­ions, referrals, compliance and updates.

Attendees will hear the latest from CHRISTUS Health Plan, UnitedHeal­thcare Community Plan, AFMC, Cigna, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas and more.
