Rally in the Alley slated for Oct. 13

-

The first Rally in the Alley bowling fundraiser is slated to take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at Holiday Entertainment Center, 3408 State Line Ave.

The event benefits The Call in Miller County, Ark., an organization whose mission is to encourage the Christian community to provide a future and hope for children in foster care. The group recruits and trains foster families in Miller County.

There is a $20 entry fee per person, and participants will compete in teams of at least four people. Teams of more than four are allowed, but the team will have to choose for players for official scoring. The entry fee includes two games of bowling and shoe rental.

Teams are challenged to meet a monetary goal to be turned in the day of the event.

There is no age requirement. There will be trophies awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams and other awards for several fun categories, including best team name, highest individual score, most strikes, most money raised and team spirit.

To request an entry form or for more information, contact Kristi Wooten at MillerEvents@TheCALLinArkansas.org. Follow The Call on Facebook at The Call in Miller County.

The Call began in 2007 in Pulaski County but quickly grew and is now active in 46 counties in Arkansas. Families recruited and trained by The Call make up more than half the foster families in the state. Since 2007, these families have care for more than 11,000 children and created forever families for more than 900 children through adoption.
