Eagles tame Leopards, 69-13

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas—Arygle tailback Tito Byce’s three touchdowns were enough to propel the Eagles over Liberty-Eylau in Sulphur Springs at Gerald Prim Stadium, 69-13.

Byce scored on runs of 2 and 5 yards and also finished with 14 carries for 73 yards and three touchdowns. Byce also ended with three receptions for 34 yards.

Argyle quarterbac­k Bo Hogeboom completed 13 of 26 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns,

Leopard quarterbac­k Isaiah Cross completed 3 of 12 passes for 28 yards. Cross also rushed 13 times for 16 yards.

Cedric Dickerson intercepte­d a pass for the Leopards and had 13 yards rushing on four carries.

TJ Templeton finished the night with three carries for 42 yards and a touchdown for Liberty-Eylau.

Korbyn White rushed for 38 yards on five totes for the Leopards.

Luke Farris scored on a 4-yard run for Eagles before halftime and finished with nine carries for 52 yards.

Dominique Williams returned two punts for 30 yards each for Liberty-Eylau.

Dylan Carter ended the game with 75 yards receiving on four grabs and a touchdown. Carter scored on a 34-yard pass from Hogeboom.

Arygle receiver Alex Gonzalex led the Eagles with four receptions for 76 yards.

The Leopards travel to Waco next week, to take on La Vega.
