A&M-Texarkana to host OSHA safety course

Texas A&M University­Texarkana, along with the department of Extended Education and Community Developmen­t, will hold an OSHA constructi­on and general industry course Nov. 6-9 at the university.

OSHA 510 Occupation­al and Health Standards for the Constructi­on Industry is authorized by the Midsouth OSHA Training Institute. It will cover OSHA standards

for the constructi­on industry found in the Code of Federal Regulation­s 1926, along with other relevant policies, procedures, along with safety and health principles. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous and most frequently cited by OSHA. The cost of the course is $599.
