COACH STEVE WELLS’ COMMENTS: “It wasn’t pretty, but we got the job done the other night. We had some turnovers but the wet weather contributed to that. We also had too many penalties. It was nice to get the win and start off 1-0 in district play. We still have a great shot at hopefully getting our fourth gold ball in the last five years (district championship).
“Our kids are excited to start off undefeated in district. We have a really big one this week with Pleasant Grove and hopefully, we can keep this thing rolling.”
