Mid-December festivities will cap Hempstead County’s year of bicentennial events
The Hempstead County, Ark., Bicentennial Committee plans a grand finale celebration for Dec. 15 that will wrap up a year of activities, programs and events.
“The committee is extending an invitation to Hope and Hempstead county businesses, industries and nonprofit organizations to join them as vendors for ‘The Best of Hempstead County,’” said Beckie Moore, executive director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce.
“Downtown Hope will take center stage from 2–7 p.m. Dec. 15 on the celebratory day,” she said.
“Businesses and industries are invited to showcase what they do best. Nonprofits are invited to join in the fun and provide a game or activity. All participants are asked to complete a registration form. There is a registration fee of $25 per 10x10 booth,” Moore said.
Food trucks are invited to set up on the parking lot of the current Farmers Bank & Trust. Food truck vendors will need to complete a registration form.
Registration forms, including setup instructions, may be picked up at the chamber. If you prefer receiving a form via email, please call the chamber at 870-777-3640 or email hopemelonfest@yahoo.com.
Forms and registration fees must be mailed to the chamber at P. O. Box 250, Hope, AR 71802. Make checks payable to the “RHCA Bicentennial Fund.”
“The Hempstead County Bicentennial Committee seeks to promote events and celebrations around this significant year for Hempstead County,” Moore said.
