Final Answer?

If you could have one mystery solved, which one would it be?

-

As Halloween approaches, our thoughts turn to the mysterious, the spooky, the strange. And so it is with our weekly question. We want to know what great mystery would you like to see conclusively solved before you depart this realm?

The true story behind the John F. Kennedy assassination? Did aliens crash at Roswell, N.M.? What happened to Jimmy Hoffa? Is Bigfoot—or the Fouke Monster—out there somewhere? Do ghosts exist? What happened to that other sock? Maybe something else has a hold on your imagination. There are a lot of unexplained things to choose from.

If you could see only one such mystery solved, what would it be?

Last Week: Downtown Traffic?

Last week’s question was about the removal of traffic lights and one-way streets downtown. We want to know how you like the facelift for downtown traffic. Do you find it easier to get around?

It is taking some getting used to, and drivers need to be careful about the two-way and four-way stops. One real problem is 3rd and State Line, where it is a two-way stop. Oncoming traffic is very hard to see when going East on Third. Some drivers are also driving too fast on State Line without any stop signs. I wonder if four-way stops would be better at every intersection. — J.W.W., Texarkana, Ark.

Ever since 3rd and 4th Streets were changed from one way to two way traffic, I have hated to drive downtown. Before that happened, you could get to anywhere in that area quickly and conveniently, but now it is frustrating and time consuming to have a stop sign at every block. But it has been a great blessing to have those traffic lights removed. — D.G., Texarkana, Ark.

Yes, I like the way they have marked it off, downtown Texarkana. I had to drive around to get used to it, however, I like it. — B.J., Texarkana, Texas

■ Took a minute to get used to, but it’s definitely a better flow now.

■ Much better flow, lights never seemed to be timed well. Stop signs make it easier to get through and enjoy downtown.
