ATLANTA, Texas—Sonny Bee Garner, 67, of Atlanta died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, in a Shreveport, La., hospital.

Mr. Garner was born March 3, 1951. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, James C. Garner; six sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty Garner, Deloria Vaden, Lovie Garner, Robin Garner, Brenda and William Peppers and Senetha and George Epps; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church, Atlanta, with the Rev. B.C. James officiatin­g. Burial will be in Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, La., under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLARKSVILL­E, Texas—Dale Lane Jackson, 61, of Clarksvill­e died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, in Clarksvill­e.

Mr. Jackson was previously employed with Philip Industry.

Survivors include two sons, Cedric Jackson of Clarksvill­e and Jujuan Jackson of Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Latoria Manning of Paris, Texas, Latajia Jackson and Keisha Jackson of Clarksvill­e and Valeshia Ceasar of Houston; his mother, Essie Sims of Clarksvill­e; two brothers, Doyal Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Rosser of Clarksvill­e; five sisters, Wanda Faye Dotson of Clarksvill­e, Katrinka Jones and Carolyn Sims of Fort Worth, Kimmie Edwards of Orange Park, Fla., and Ruby Ruff of Jacksonvil­le, Fla.; 10 grandchild­ren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Citizens Funeral Home with the Rev. S.S. Carreather­s officiatin­g. Burial will be in Fairground Cemetery.
