LAST WEEK: The Leopards fell to Pleasant Grove, 35-28, while the Pirates thrashed Gilmer, 48-15.

LAST YEAR: The two teams did not play.

GAME FACTS:

Tonight is Senior Night for Liberty-Eylau. Gilmer won the last meeting

between these two in 2016, 61-55. Jaylon Jimmerson leads the Pirates rushing attack with 748 yards on 106 totes and 11 touchdowns. Jimmerson has also completed 124 of 212 passes for 1,726 yards and 17 touchdowns. QB Isaiah Cross leads the Leopards on the ground with 92 carries for 479 yards and four touchdowns. Cross has also completed 63 of 136 passes for 944 yards and 11 touchdowns. RB Cedric Dickerson has amassed 334 yards on 54 totes and three scores. WR Deshun Dickerson leads the Leopards receiving corps with 10 grabs, and Shayne Porche has nine snags for 143 and two scores. Marzavin Riles has six catches for 263 yards and three touchdowns for L-E.

“It’s Senior Night for us. It’s the final home game for this senior class, and we know we have a good Pittsburg Pirate team coming in here. Hopefully, we can rebound from last week and win out.

“Hopefully, we’ll have a chance to at least finish second in the district, depending on what happens with Spring Hill and Pleasant Grove. It’s almost playoff time, so you never know. We may get a rematch with PG, hopefully, in the third round.”
