LAST WEEK: The Razorbacks clinched the outright Conference 5A-South championship with a 42-9 victory over De Queen.

THIS WEEK:

Arkansas High (8-1, 6-0), which is the No. 1 seed from the South, will host the East’s No. 4 seed Nettleton (8-2, 5-2) to kick off postseason play on Friday at Razorback Stadium.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS:

Foreback was 5-of-11 passing with 155 yards and three touchdowns. RB Cameron Collier rushed for 81 yards on three totes and had a 77-yard touchdown run. Torie Blair caught Foreback’s third touchdown on a 43-yard pass.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS:

Demetrias Charles and Mask both came down with interceptions, which were returned for scores. Tre Cleveland, who has 120 tackles on the season, finished with nine. A.C. Williams and Charles, who also had a sack, added seven tackles each, while Isaiah Gray had six. Donta Willis also contributed with a sack.

COACH BARRY NORTON’S COMMENTS:

“We went into the game wanting to start fast and put some points up, and we accomplished that. We only had 13 snaps in the first half and we were up 42-3. With this win, we have a No. 1 seed and we will go into the playoffs and see what we can do.

“Penalties are something we will have to clean up going into the playoffs. We had some in the second half that I did not like. Obviously, there’s going to be some. You’ll always having some holding or something in that nature. What I want us to work on is the pre-snap penalties and eliminate as much as that as we can.

“But as long as we play hard and aggressive like we are, we will always have a chance.”
