Angel Tree program adds locations for angel adoptions

- By Ashley Gardner

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has added locations where people can adopt angels. The program gives the community an opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for a needy child or senior citizen.

“We invite people to take the time to go and buy for a child,” said Maj. David Feeser, Salvation Army commander. “Everything

that person buys, we’ll give directly to the parents to give to that child.”

Angel adoptions have started slowly.

“At the beginning it’s always kind of slow. It usually starts picking up after this weekend,” Feeser said.

Gifts for the angels are due back Dec. 8 and can be taken to the location of the tree where the angel was adopted.
