Mustangs’ boys edge Longhorns

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Devin Flournoy and Chandler King each scored 14 points as Hughes Springs sneaked past McLeod, 51-50, in a boys varsity basketball game on Tuesday.

Trevor Deel led all scorers with 25 points for the Longhorns, while teammate Blake Williams contribute­d 12.

Mason Teer scored 10 points as McLeod’s junior varsity rolled to a 30-6 win over the Mustangs. Ethan Armstrong had nine points for the Longhorns.

Gracie Lance swished in 12 points as McLeod’s varsity girls defeated Hughes Springs, 34-28.

Brianna Morrow paced the Lady Mustangs with 10 points.

Hornets romp past Chisum

PARIS, Texas—Riley Hamilton poured in 17 points, and Hooks destroyed Paris Chisum, 76-32.

Randall Green scored 13 points which included three baskets from downtown, and teammate Leonard Brice added 12 for the Hornets.

Bulldogs crush Wildcats

WASKOM, Texas—Tyler Nolen lit up the scoreboard with 21 points, and Queen City crushed Waskom, 63-39, in a varsity boys basketball game.

Dylan Scott scored 14 points, and teammate Colton Davis added 10 for the Bulldogs.

Kenyen Washington scored 10 points, and Queen City won the junior varsity game, 42-28.
