L-E’s consistenc­y leads to win

Kentraile Atkins shot in a gamehigh 24 points to lead Liberty-Eylau to an 81-67 win over Jefferson at the Rader Dome on Tuesday.

The Leopards scored at least 20 points in each quarter but the last.

Isaiah Cross scored 12 points for the Leopards, while teammate Talveyion Cooper added 10.

Javon Hunter put up 16 points for Liberty-Eylau in the junior varsity game, and the Leopards defeated the Bulldogs in an overtime thriller, 47-45.

Keenue Shepard scored 13 points, while teammate Chris Lewis added 10 for L-E.

Zander Hall shot in six points as the Leopards won the freshmen game, 14-12.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas— Chandler King poured in a gamehigh 25 points as Hughes Springs edged White Oak, 52-49, at Mustang Gym.

The Mustangs trailed by two going into the fourth quarter but outscored the Roughnecks, 13-8, in the final stanza.

Matt Bort scored 10 points for Hughes Springs.

Collin Bower paced White Oak with 20 points.

The Mustangs (6-7) play at New Boston on Friday at 5 p.m.

Trevor Deel put up 18 points for the Longhorns, while teammate Kobe Bonner added 14.

Parker Gravitt had a game-high 20 points for Redwater, and teammate Mason Robertson contribute­d 10 points.

Drew Graves and Landon McLeod each scored eight points as the Dragons’ junior varsity defeated the Longhorns, 29-18.

Redwater (7-6) plays Mount Pleasant at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the Mount Pleasant basketball tournament.
