Judith Weeks Simmons, 75, of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2019, following a long illness. She was surrounded by her family who is grateful for the loving and compassion­ate care of the T. Boone Pickens Center for Hospice and Palliative Care staff. Per her wishes, no service will be scheduled. Final arrangemen­ts were managed by Merit Memorial Funeral & Cremation Care, Farmers Branch, TX.

Judy was born November 9, 1943, in Haworth, Oklahoma, to John Bedford Weeks and Mary John Morrison Weeks, who preceded her in death. She grew up in the Malta community and attended Malta Grade School, and was a 1962 graduate of New Boston High School.

Survivors include her brother Charles Weeks (Catherine) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; sister Margaret Toussaint (Robert) of Dallas, Texas; niece Melissa Chaiken (Rob) of Plano, Texas and nephew Brett Blythe (Allie) of Washington, D.C.; great nephew and great niece Spencer and Isabella Chaiken of Plano, Texas; two surviving aunts and numerous cousins.

She enjoyed a long career in finance and banking, working in Texarkana, Houston, and Dallas, Texas, and West Palm Beach, Florida. Judy loved animals, and her dogs and cats were a great source of pleasure and comfort. Her beloved Bichons, Sumi and Chloe, preceded her in death.
