TEXARKANA, Texas — A woman has been arrested for allegedly making a false report that two children in her care were missing at the Walmart Supercenter at 4000 New Boston Road.

Bosnia Taylor, 20, of Texarkana, Arkansas, was arrested Wednesday by Texarkana, Texas police, according to a police department news release.

She was arrested on charges of false report regarding a missing child and for a probation violation warrant on theft of property.

It was also learned that she had previously been banned from the store, so she was also

arrested for criminal trespass.

She was transported to the Bi-State jail without incident, where her total bond was set at $8,566, according to the news release.

Officers were dispatched about 1:38 p.m. Wednesday to the report of two missing boys at Walmart, according to the following account from the press release.

Taylor allegedly told officers that her 7- and 11-yearold relatives had gone to the restroom inside the store together and she could not find them.

A search of the store and parking lot areas by 10 officers and about 20 store employees failed to locate the boys. Officers became suspicious of Taylor’s story after they reviewed surveillance video from the parking lot that showed that the two boys had neither gotten out of her car nor gone into the store.

Detective James Hargrave was eventually able to speak with the parent of the boys by telephone and was told they were safely with them and had never been with Taylor at the store, according to the press release.

Detectives believe that Taylor concocted the story about the missing children because she thought she was being stopped by store employees about items in her shopping cart for which she had failed to pay, according to the news release.
