Panthers fall to Buckaroos, 41-26

FOUKE, Ark. — Smackover knocked off Fouke in a 5-3A conference game, 41-26, Friday night.

Hunter Lansdale passed the ball to Seth Phillips for an 8-yard touchdown with 1:22 left in the first quarter to put the Panthers on the scoreboard.

Braydon Larey ran the ball 11 yards with 3:28 left in the second quarter for another Fouke score, and Tyler Lawrence had a 9-yard run for a touchdown with 13 seconds left in the second quarter.

With 8:52 left in the game, Lansdell connected with Kanon Garrett for a 9-yard touchdown.

Fouke is 3-4. Next week the Panthers play at Harmony Grove.

Prescott 48, Genoa Central 26

GENOA, Ark. — Prescott built a commanding 35-0 first-quarter lead and cruised to a 48-26 victory over Genoa Central.

The Curley Wolves’ Jacobi Nolen passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third to power Prescott’s offense. Nolen connected with Jeffrey Martin on a 7-yard scoring pass and later with Jeffrey Williams on a 45-yard scoring strike. Nolen also scored on a 75-yard run.

Williams later passed 45 yards to Jacaylon Zachary for another touchdown.

The Wolves’ other scores were by Derriun Thompson (67-yard run), Alex George (27-yard run) and Bayliss Price (2-yard run).

Ryan Braden scored twice for Genoa Central on runs of 1 and 4 yards. Ethan Cowart also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score and Elia Gawreih added a 12-yard TD run.

Prescott improves to 5-2 overall and 4-0 in Conference 7-3A while the Dragons slip to 3-4, 1-3.

Dierks 49, Lafayette County 0

DIERKS, Ark. — Dierks’ Austin Hanson rushed for 115 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Outlaws to the lopsided win over the visiting Cougars.

Hanson scored on runs of 22, 16, 14 and 28 yards for Dierks, which led 26-0 at halftime.

Braxton Clayborn also scored a touchdown and pair of 2-point conversion runs for the Outlaws.

Bismarck 38, Horatio 7

HORATIO, Ark. — Bismarck quarterbac­k James Kegley and receiver Collier Robertson hooked up for three touchdowns to hand Horatio a 5-3A loss.

Kegley finished 18-of-33 passing for 261 yards, and Robertson caught nine balls for 163 yards.
